[503] BROOKLYN NETS +5
The Nets are coming off a home loss to Dallas last night. The lack of rest does not concern me, as they've won and covered their last three games when playing without rest (all three as underdogs). They're motivation should be high coming off that home loss combined with the fact they're just a half-game ahead of Chicago for the #5 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Bulls are coming off an 11-point home win over the 76ers. I'm not at all impressed with that win, as Philly has dropped seven straight games. Chicago hasn't played back-to-back solid games in weeks, so expecting another good outing tonight may be asking too much.
Chicago's only recent wins besides the one over slumping Philly were wins over Charlotte (13-45 record) and New Orleans (21-39). Brooklyn poses a much tougher challenge, especially with Luol Deng and Richard Hamilton banged up (both gametime decisions).
I almost forgot to mention that Chicago has a huge game tomorrow against the team they're chasing in the Central Division standings, Indiana. That should also serve as a distraction tonight, especially off that double-digit win (1-6 ATS their last seven in that situation).
Bottom line: Chicago has been a huge money-burner at home (8-22 ATS in their last 30) and the situation seems to set up quite nicely in favor of BROOKLYN.
Best of luck this weekend, everyone.
