Power Ratings:
Golden State: 14
Cleveland: 9.5
Boston: 1.5
Boston/Golden State:
The Betting Markets continue to deal hyper inflated lines on Cleveland, with them being -10 on the road at Boston, despite my numbers showing only an eight point disparity in the teams. A big part of this is the overall success of Favorites in the NBA Playoffs. The lines have been inflated accordingly, with the books tired of taking a beating on favorites. However, the point spread tax most certainly caught up to Cleveland last night, laying a monster number of -16 at post.
Cleveland/Golden State:
The early lines on the series, continue to give the Cavs WAY Too much credit, as South Point has showed Golden State -230/Cavs +200 in early lines. I really think this is a massive overreaction to one game, Game 5 last year. If Golden State wins that game, they would be a clear cut dynasty, and would be priced at -350, with this year's playoff team much better with Durant and a healthy Curry.
On the capping front, I broke out of my Spring funk, with a 7-1 run. I may have a later release in MLB today, stay tuned....
