NBA East Futures:
I have Toronto 6-1 to win the East. I also have Boston 6-1. I hope to cash BOTH tickets.
How is this possible? I bet Boston at 6-1 when they were likely to get the home field advantage in the East. At the same time I got down on Toronto at 6-1 at Harrahs to win the East. The reason I bet Toronto is that Harrahs has no betting on the Celtics due I believe to their parent company having some ownership in the Celtics.
Thus, Boston is excluded from Harrahs pools, so if the Celtics actually win the East, the runner up is deemed the winner. Toronto is the no 3 seed likely to play the Cavs at no 2. Normally, that would be a bad draw for them, but with Boston excluded at Harrahs, it is actually a good draw as they might be able to "clinch" the East (at Harrahs) just by making the finals, if they then face Boston.
The Draft: (Trubsinky Going Number One?)
Speaking of 6-1 underdogs, Mitch Trubisky was a great one LAST NIGHT to be the no1 Draft pick!
Blue Horseshoe LOVES Mitch Trubisky. Last night, at Bookmaker you could have gotten Trubisky at +650 to go no1. Wake up and the odds are now +153.
There are no locks in this business, and understand he is still the underdog, but money is POURING in on Trubisky. My experience in events like this that are often predetermined is that huge line moves typically win. I would typically never look to bet on a team that was +650 and is now +150, but in this case, more and more it looks like Trubisky has a very good chance to be the No1 pick.
