Nice night for us and a Triple Dime GOM today - here's some other ideas.
Rangers/A's F5 U4 (some books have 4, some don't - sorry)
It looks a bit too easy to take Darvish at only -125. I guess we'd have to know whether it's the Darvish that shut down the Angels or the one that was hammered by the Indians. Since both bullpens have been terrible, let's just take them out of the equation and play the F5 under, and that would also be a game that if it started with more pitching than offense that we could look at an in-game over, simply because of those bullpens. An under-trendy umpire in Mike Everitt behind the plate, too.
I know the Nationals are better than Atlanta and Scherzer is better than Folty - and I know that Atlanta played last night. But, they're at home and I am not laying -1.5 on the road. Maybe the Braves comeback last night carries over, so Braves +1.5 and perhaps the over almost as a hedge against Atlanta getting crushed.
Mike Leake has been brilliant, almost too brilliant in my opinion. Kuhl has been brilliant. You have to like the F5 under if anything simply because any Cardinals bet involves that bullpen that almost blew another one last night. For that reason and the fact that Leake can hit, I COULD make a case for waiting a bit to see if it DOES start slowly (no scoring) and take an in-game over.
Totally a bad spot for San Diego, playing in Atlanta last night and now at home, and not a great spot for Arizona playing in LA last night, but certainly a better one. The bettors certainly think that's the case, since Arizona opened a slight dog and is now a significant road favorite. I'll wait that one out. Cosart did pitch pretty well at Colorado and Miller has already had two 100+ pitch games, neither of which got him through six full innings, so perhaps an over reaction there.
