Cashed with another free selection last night with the Beavers getting the best of Utah 71-69 in a wild finish. Hope the play helped some cash a ticket. Tonight I am suggesting a small wager on Charlotte laying the digit to the Heat in league play.
Super Bowl weekend and obviously the sports betting world is in hyper drive. Brings back a nice memory. My folks used to go out to Vegas quite a bit. Loved it. My mom and dad were devoted church going folks, Methodists, but they did enjoy playing black jack. A lot I used to marvel how they could play for hours on end. I mean almost around the clock. Anyway, my dad passed and my mom just quit going. The year Tampa Bay was playing the Raiders I decided to surprise mom and take her. So my wife, oldest daughter and I took her out. I had told my dad's business partner Jerry what I was doing and he asked where we were staying. I told him the new Aladdin. He and his wife wanted to just show up and surprise my mom. Which they did and the look on her eyes was priceless. Just a fun weekend. I remember sitting the night before the big game in the book and it was getting late. I was watching a west coast NBA game and I saw on the bottom scroll a message that Raiders center Barrett Robbins had gotten into trouble and would not be playing. I envisioned Warren Sapp and went up and added another bet to my Tampa Bay action. Well, the game was not that close. Tampa Bay smacked down the Raiders and I cashed a nice enough ticket to easily pay for the trip and expenses. Never a bad thing. Just a nice memory. It was all worth it watching my mom play black jack and glow. She was sitting there late at night playing and she said a nice looking, nicely dressed young man had sat by her. They visited for a couple of hours and she finally asked what he did. He told her he used to like to play baseball. Being a typical mom, she said oh that's nice, my sons played baseball too. He just smiled and showed mom a nice ring on his finger. Mom said oh that is beautiful, where did you get that? He told her he got it after winning the world series. The nice young man was ex Mets pitcher Ron Darling. That name meant nothing to my mom. She just thought he was a nice young man. I guess Darling got a big kick out of the whole deal. You just had to know my mom. My mom made friends very quickly. She was the ultimate people person. She was the first female real estate agent in mid missouri and became known as the queen of local real estate. She personally probably carried 80% of the listings in the region. Anyway, great memory about a special weekend.
On the business end I am still looking frankly at tonight's board in the NBA. I've been on a nice solid run having cashed on 18 of the last 26 releases overall. There is the strong possibility of a very large release in college hoops saturday. I do have my Super Bowl release up and loaded. Every site out there of course is in a mad scramble to cash in on the super bowl frenzy. Get's crazier every year. I can honestly say I have done well with the Super Bowl. I did drop the game last year as I was on Seattle and still curse when I think of them not giving the ball to Lynch but oh well. Red Sox fans still cringe every time they see the dribbler heading towards Buckner too. But, with that being said I have cashed on 8 of my last 9 super bowl selections. That's pretty solid work.
Okay, that is is for now. Much work to get done and I assure you I am all over it. Best of luck guys. Enjoy the big weekend.
