We cashed another free winner in the NFL last sunday with the Giants getting it done down at Tampa Bay. I don't think we have dropped a free forum NFL selection. I'd say we've been killing it with the free plays but that seems to offend some, lol. Anyway, the winners have been here and I do hope some have benefited from them. I put these out here to try and help. There are people, hundreds of them, who come around the forum on a routine basis and do not purchase selections. That is one of the nice things about Pregame. As pro's we are asked to provide plenty of free content and I feel we do a good job at that. Anyway, here we go. Let's see if we can bank another one guys.
This week I will ruffle some local feathers but I always call them the way I see it. I assure you I did not enjoy taking the Panthers last week as a client release over my Packers. But, as I stress, fan emotion plays zero part in handicapping games for real dough. On sunday I am suggesting a wager on the Denver Broncos as they return home to face off against Andy Reids Chiefs. I am certain there will be plenty of folks pointing to Reid's past success off the bye weeks. Usually that would count with me more than it does in this case. I know the Chiefs have won a couple games in a row, at home against the Steelers and against the Lions across the pond in London. Well, hate to rain on the parade but the Steelers had Landry Jones under center and the Lions, well, come on man, they are a dumpster fire right now. They hardly broke a sweat fighting back against the Chiefs. Living around here I have seen Denver rub the Chiefs faces in it too many times. Yes, the Chiefs owe them for that epic meltdown early in the season at Arrowhead. I remember well because I had a triple on Kansas City and lost the thing. They had that game in their pockets and let the Broncos pick it. The stubborn fact is Denver has handled the Chiefs in five of the last six encounters. The Chiefs are also an abysmal 1-6 in their last seven road games against the number. I do not know if people grasp just how damaging it was to this club to lose Jamaal Charles. Without an effective running game to lean on it really exposes Alex Smith, blatantly. Denver has not dropped two straight games since the 2012 campaign and although there is a lot of brave talk coming out of Kansas City I am just not seeing it. That Denver defense will have Smith scrambling for his life once again. I know the Chiefs will be one of the trendy picks this week but I don't put much stock in that. Seen this movie too many times. Kansas City has the want to, just don't have the can do. I see a lot of 5.5 out there and think it's a good bet for Manning and company. Not so much because of the aging Peyton, but because it is a strong bounce back spot and I love that defense Denver plays. Even missing some parts. I say take Denver here to continue their dominance over the Chiefs guys.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope we can cash another free one for the forum. Good luck.
