Now that Jerome Williams is on the DL and Edwin Jackson is toiling in the bullpen, the path is open to annoint a new worst starter in the National League, if not in the major leagues.
My candidate is Kyle Kendrick, who is laughing all the way to the bank having heisted $5.5 million to pitch for the Rockies.
The Rockies are 4-13 in Kendrick's 17 starts. Kendrick has a 6.00 ERA and has surrendered the most home runs in the majors with 23.
The problem with coming up with a worst pitcher is that the shelf life usually is short. They don't last long before they are yanked out of the rotation.
Let's hope the Rockies compound their huge signing mistake by keeping Kendrick in the rotation so we have the option to keep fading.
I have two underdog plays going today on the Monday baseball menu. They can be found here along with my packages: /pregamepros/pro-bettor/bettor.aspx?id=7746#capper.
As always, let's have no bad luck.
