The high drama that the NBA playoffs are delivering (with the huge fan interest) has made one thing clear to me: The NBA IS America's No2 sport.
We started with the Clippers/Spurs Heavyweight Showdown, and the drama in these playoffs shows no sign of letting up. Simply follow Twitter and you can see by the crazy volume of tweets how big these game have gotten. Imagine the interest we will see if we can get a Clippers/Warriors series in the West, and the Cavs in the East Final!
I'm sure the MLB ratings are just fine. Further, MLB will always be America's past-time. But Football IS America's passion, and the NBA is no2 in that rating.
On the capping front, I was on the Rockets 3*s last night +7.5, and watched the betting markets embrace the play as the line just kept dropping. It's clear I relied too much on past history and situations with the play. Quality teams off blowout losses in spots like this do great ATS........the problem is that Hou is NOT a quality team, doesn't have character, and it was a terrible pick.
Gambling can be a humbling business when you step it up with a big play and get crushed. We hunker down with a free play Monday today and look to start stringing a win steak today!
