It was a great day to be a Cardinals fan. 10 of the last 14 years the Cards have made the post season. Now, another series on deck with another World Series appearance at stake. Personally I'll be rooting for a all missouri series with the Cardinals and Royals hooking up.
Todays historical moment is tied to the World Series. It was before my time but it was on this date in 1956 that Don Larsen of the Yankees fired the first perfect game in Series history. It's still the only one. Larsen was known for his personality and his love of the nightlife. A fun loving guy who liked the bars and nightlife, particularly in the Big Apple. His teammates referred to him as gooneybird. Well, clearly Gooneybird was clicking on all cylinders that day. Hard to guess when we will ever see another perfect game in the World Series.
Okay, a free winner. Suggesting a small wager on Alabama laying the 10 at Arkansas. I don't suspect it was a pretty sight around practice this week for the Tide and I look for a focused Bama group hitting the field in Arkansas. I think the way the Tide play defense any team that can spread them out and has the QB to deliver the package they can give them fits. But I don't see that so much in the Hog's who prefer the ground attack. I think Saban's club gets back up off the deck this week and flexes their muscles some. Lay the points as the Tide win this thing by 13+.
On the business side of things I have loaded up a Triple Star featured release for saturday. I am still working on my NFL card. In college Triples we have cashed on 16 of the last 23 we have released. No, not 23 of the last 23, nobody wins them all. But my clients know over the long haul the last several years I hit a helluva lot more of them than not. Funny thing about long term and streaks. Some folks want it both ways. Let me give you an example. If a handicapper stated he had won two big games in a row and promoted that, well, he would be crucified and ridiculed. Frankly for a good reason. Clearly that is a short streak. However, if that same capper loses two in a row, suddenly that particular streak is huge. The hell with long term. See what I mean? You can't have it both ways. I for one, and thankfully the vast majority of my long term clients get it. It is indeed about long term tied in with self discipline and money management. As for the others, they tend to be the ones who constantly pay their man or reload those accounts.
