Today marks the anniverary of two feats by two of the more forgettable players in baseball. Sammy Sosa and Mark McGuire. They both set marks on this date but my enthusiasm is so limited I won't waste the time repeating it. I have little respect for either. I look back at the wiffle ball game scores from that era and inflated numbers and muscles and just shake my head that this was passed off for major league baseball for such a long period. Screw em I say.
Okay, on a lighter note. I am going to suggest a wager this sunday in the NFL on the Saints back at home laying the points to the Vikings. Drew Brees at home in a desperation game against Matt Cassel. Never like laying double digits in the NFL but I think this one could get away from the Vikings. Not like that execution we witnessed last night in Atlanta but a convincing win for Sean Paytons club. I don't care what anyone says the Vikings have to be more than a little distracted by the whole Peterson fiasco. Also the stubborn fact is the Saints have covered the number as a home favorite a stellar 20 more times than not since the 2007 season. Unless they are plaugued by a miserable day with turnovers they win and clear this number far more often than not. Just my opinion.
On the business side I have a Triple Star loaded for both saturday in college ball and sunday in the bigs. Undefeated thus far in the college triples and love this saturdays featured release. On the NFL side the Triples are currently 1-2 after that mess of a Colts game monday night. It still irks me that I have to chalk that damn thing up as a loss. But, it is what it is. I am ultra confident we will snatch that cash right back sunday for the NFL bettors. Nice winner last night with Kansas State to get the new weekend rolling. The Wildcats should have won that game outright.
As always there is just a ton of work to be done this time of year, that is if you do it properly. I'm on it guys. I wish all of you the best of luck this weekend with your action. Take care fellas.
