I'd say that for every Melo there are 5 Donte Greene's...but Donte just might turn out to be a hell of a player in the Association sooner than you think.

No doubt, I'm not debating that.  He was a big distraction to Syracuse though last year because of all the NBA thoughts running through his head and is the main reason they did not make the NCAA tournament in my opinion.

I see your angle Matty, great point. Players like Green can be huge distractions to a team...Durant was the total opposite though. Despite all the pub and media attention, he constantly talked about being a 'team'. You'll get both sides in CBB.

Yeah I just believe it's more negative than positive.  There are more O.J. Mayos and Michael Beasleys out there who help a program for just one year compared to Carmelo Anthonys and Kevin Durants who give back to a program long term.

Couldn't agree more.Whether it's 1 & done & a bolt for the N.B.A. or heading to Europe, I.M.O. it's still all about the money. Strong Euro or $$$$$"s, it matters little.

I'd still rather watch those guys for one year here in the States than see them go overseas...
