Unlike the popular vote, I believe they do for acouple reasons
1. Guard play. Detroit is a great team but the one player they can not be without is C.Billups. I understand this injury adds to this but even if he is not 100% they can not be without him. He is a quiet veteran. He gets the baskets when the other is making a run, he drives the lane and gets the foul call draining the free throws when is team is slumping scoring wise. He is the guy who doesnt make the turnover and makes the smart plays. Any other person on this team can be plugged out and replaced from someone on the bench except Billups. He is the veteran pressure at the most important position that cant be replaced.
2. Orlando's bigs, minus superman, pull detroits big to the perimeter. Example R.Lewis and Turk in game 3. This was not a surpirse. They had the same looks in games one and two but didnt knock them down (until 3rd quarter of game 2). If these shots go down which they have been doing most of the year, detriot is in bad shape. Also the use of the pick n drag that howard has been using is slowing eating away the pistons defense. Superman has never been the type to demand the ball but slowly he is seeing what he can do. If he had baby shaq's mainframe this series could definatly look different right now.
3. Orlando has been one of the top eastern teams all year, they deserve to be here and are a threat. People wrote this team off before game one. detroit has proven to be a good team the last number of years but have holes as previous playoffs have shown. alot of the type they think they are good enought to turn "it" on and off like the phily game where they lost the big lead and this can hurt a team.
4. Confidence has been with Orlando since game one and hasnt faltered. they know they gave away game 3 and they know they can win 3 more. PERIOD.
dont be surpised if orlando wins this series. you heard it here first!
