Just saw this on ESPN Chucky - I think this just about guarantees he won't be back though I'll wait until the regular-season opener to believe him.

I can just see him at Lambeau when they try to retire his jersey on Monday Night Football, and he says #4 isn't retired just yet.  Then he leads the Pack to a win.
