Ron Raymond's NHL Forecast Nov 17th

by Ron Raymond on 11/17/2008 12:26 PM

Edmonton vs. Detroit

hockeypicks VS. NHL Picks
(5.5)           (-220)

Ron's Comment: Tough to go against Detroit on any given night and even harder when they've won their last 2 games by 1 goal. In fact, when the Red Wings are at home, won their last 2 games by 1-goal, they are 7-1 (SU) the L5Y and 14-4 (SU) since '96. When DETROIT team Played as Home team as a Favorite - Before a non division game - Total is 5.5 - Allowed 2 or less goals AGAINST in their last game - Coming off a 2 game Road stand; The Red Wings are 7-3 (SU) in this role since '96.

Prediction: Detroit 4 Edmonton 2

I have to say I am leaning towards Edmonton on this one. They had a night plagued by wiffs and missed ops and I expect them to put up some big numers. Still, it is rarely a good idea to bet against Detroit so I am taking the OVER on this one.

Hey Ron  I liked it when you predicted all the scores so  could add the goals up and play the grand salami ( total goals for the night ). That way I feel like I have action on every game without betting every game. Are you ever going to do that again?
