Yes. See my blog article from today entitled "College Tournament Handicapping." UNLV is actually playing on its home court. St. Johns in the Big East was also playing on the court it uses as its home court for all season games against 1-A opponents -- Madison Square Garden.

Unlv over BYU last night would be example of Neutral court that was not a real neutral court, correct.

I disagree that Teasers are a joke. I have won tons of them over the years.. Just like a straight bet, you lose some. Giving a pro capper 6 pts. on any sideor total in the NFL and pooling 2 teams together with a total of 12 added points, I asure you that you will have more winning tickets than losers..you just have to know how to manipulate the lines off of certian numbers.

Rob made a great post and brought to light many issues that are important. I only play Teasers in the NFL.

Not sure I understand you here...So, you are saying that teasing a 3.5 fave to a 3.5 dog is not smart b/c I am going thru 0? I essentially crossed over 2 key numbers by going thru 3 twice. Not only that, but I just made a team the oddsmakers feel is better than a FG than the other team a dog of more than 3. Am I missing something here?

thank you rob,I cant take full credit,saw it on the forum somewherelast tease was minn 43 0ver,ariz+9 so that game would have lost without the tease.won another one seattle+8,giants+8,minn,ariz 42 over.thank you brett favre.giants over 40,giants+7.5 so what i did was took my best bet of the day,dallas was not going to beat ny in this particular situation by 8 points and paired it correctly.same thing with minn,ariz.I didnt know who would win but i was sure minn would.nt win by 8.I didnt know if it would go over 48 but i knew there would be points scored.I'm now 8&2 with one loss by one point.just loved the back door cover on the farve td pass.so much of handicapping is just luck,adropped pass,fumbles,interceptions,penalties,game situations,injuries etc.etcI think teasers now are just another tool in the toolbox for us.3,4,5 team parleys a exercise in futility,I've lost that last game in every conceivable way there is to lose.hey you have to be both good and lucky

not sure if this matters but i bet on bodog...and the lines will sometimes not change but the vig will...for example today if u wanted tenn +7 (not 5 as the lines dropped most places) you had to lay -130....

so when situations like that come up...i was thinking it may be best to tease them (at any level...6 or 7 or 10 or 13)...since you are paying the vig anyway if u wanted the individual bets. i do realize that this is an all or nothing bet if u tease and they may win anyway---but the parlay odds will not be 12.5 to 5 because of the extra vig.....

anyway---curious if u have any thoughts on that--thanks!!

This was a great article to read. I have only made a few teaser bets this year and have recently learned about "crossing the pickem line" .... the teasers i bet though are 4 team sweetheart teasers...getting 13 points per team...ive only done it with pro football and lay 12 to win 10 ...

ive gone 2 and 2 --- clearly thats still losing. i noticed u talked lots about 6 and 7 point teasers...clearly in a 13 point teasers you must get FOUR games right, rather than two...and ties are counted as a LOSS (which ive noticed makes these 12.5 point teasers if the line isnt already set at a half) ... but i was wondering if u had any thoughts on this and why i shouldnt be playing them.

On that 4-1 streak, how many of the teams would have won anyway without the tease? The Giants were a smart tease because they were +1.5 and by teasing them to +7.5 you bought the numbers "3" and "7" together. In the NFL, only those teasers that cross BOTH the numbers "3" and "7" provide a sufficient increase in your win percentage for both teams to warrant needing to win both. Such teasers are smart bets even if the teams handicap to win without the point move because the numbers purchased are worth more than the extra vig given up to the bookmaker.

just bet my first teaser a week a week or so ago.I'm 4 and 1 so far i got the giants+7.5 for 5.I cant hit a damn parley though.i'll take all the beginners luck i can get
