Investment tips for 2008

With all the turmoil in the market today and the collapse of Lehman Bros and Acquisition of Merrill Lynch by Bank of America this might be some good advice. For all of you with any mo ney left, be aware of the next expected mergers so that you can get in on the gro und floor and make some BIG bucks.

Watch for these consolidations in later this year:

1.) Hale Business Systems, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Fuller Brush, and W R. Grace Co. Will merge and become:

Hale, Mary, Fuller, Grace.

2.) Polygram Records, Warner Bros., and Ze sta Crackers join forces and become:

Poly, Warner Cracker.

3.) 3M will merge with Goodyear and become:

MMMGood.

4. Zippo Manufacturing, Audi Motors, Dofasco, and Dakota Mining will merge and become:

ZipAudiDoDa .

5 . FedEx is expected to join its competitor, UPS, and become:

FedUP.

6. Fairchild Electronic s and Honeywell Computers will become:

Fairwell Honeychild.

7. Grey Poupon and Docker Pants are expected to become:

PouponPants.

8. K n otts Berry Farm and the National Organization of Women will become:

Knott NOW!

And finally...

9. Victoria 's Secret and Smith &Wesson will merge under the new name:

Not only do "they" do it on purpose, but it is ALWAYS "their" fault.

To HVACDAWG --

Shooting and hanging are fine, but you better hurry with the cross burning. The Democratic Congress has understandably made doing anything relating to crosses and heat on the White House lawn, including eating Hot Cross Buns and even burning the President, a federal offense, effective with the November election. The ban should last at least until the Supreme Court rules that cooking Hot Cross Burns and President burning are protected forms of free speech under the Constitution. If you wait past November, you may have to settle for burning Bush at the stake. Personally, I'm partial to charcoaling at the steak.. On second thought, I think some guy named Moses beat you to this burning Bush thing anyway. If you want something with a little more originality, maybe you could strip Bush naked, cover him in honey, and lock him in a cave full of vampire bats.

To Big Joe --

Great reasoning. I like your logic. I'm convinced. No bail out. But don't you think bailing-out is usually better than bailing-in? In my day, we didn't have bail-outs, we had love-ins.. Love-ins are definitely better than bail-outs.

Did you all see Bush's speech this morning (Sept 30)? Strong, intelligent, and a profile in courage. Why couldn't we have had that guy as President for the past 8 years? Chant after me, 8 MORE YEARS! 8 MORE YEARS! SUSPEND TERM LIMITS. 8 MORE YEARS!
