Glimpse of Las Vegas Business Culture

A big advantage to Pregame.com is being located in Las Vegas, the center of the gambling world. Firstly, it allows us to interact with sports betting leaders - helping us make connections and deals which add to the benefits we provide our site visitors. Plus, our United States location allows customers to feel safe that we are accountable to U.S. law (many of our competitors are offshore, beyond the reach of any law).

Vegas has also allowed me to get to know other executives here in town, which has been both educational and inspirational. No other town combines the "Wild West" mentality of gambling with the boardroom mentality of corporate America.

On Wednesday night I attended a "Sit Down" with "The Godfather" of Las Vegas - Mark Wayman. Mark has been a real friend to Pregame.com - and instead of trying to explain him, you can check out his website.

The event was held at the Red Rock Hotel & Casino, in one of their high roller suites on the 20th floor - with an amazing western view of the mountains bordering the city limits.

Attendees included dozens of gaming executives, Michael Flanagan (head of the DEA for Nevada), Greg Gufferia (owner of Hard Rock Biloxi), local TV News Anchor Kendall Tenney, Former State Senator Sandra Tiffany, newly elected City Councilman Stavros Anthony, and most notably, RUDY! Yes, that Rudy. As you might expect, he was no more than 5'7''.

One interesting elements of these events is that no matter how impressive the guest list, a percentage of people are always fascinated by sports betting. For many there's a powerful romanticism associated with the life of a sports bettor!

I'll keep you guys updated to the happenings in Sin City . . .

Everyone is intrested in Sports Betting, as Beno Cook once staed on my Radio Shiow :  the only people who do not bet are in the cemetary!

Hmmm... Didn't knew that Malta, Gilbraltar or even Ireland or the United Kingdom which have gambling juridictions in place and tight regulations were beyond the reach of any law... Geeked

Even Costa Rica or the Netherlands Antilles have laws regarding gambling...

The things we learn at Pregame... NOT... No

Gambling sites and gambling information sites are two different animals. I was not speaking of gambling site regulation. If you believe a gambling information site in Costa Rica is as legally accountable as one in Vegas, then you are most certainly in the minority.

That said, disagreements are fine at Pregame.com as long as mutual respect is shown.

OK, I agree, my reading of your words was not the best one. But anyway, last time I checked Costa Rica was still a Law State, not a "bananas republic". Smile

Even for gambling information sites there are laws on many countries, even if those laws prohibit those same gambling information sites because they might violate the law against incitement for gambling... Wink

If US law is much better than any other law regarding that subject, that is another different matter and arguing about it would be a costly one... Big Smile

THAT RUDY?  You mean Giuliani?  According to him, he is not only THAT Rudy, he is the ONLY Rudy, although those of us in New York who have come to know and love him usually refer to him by his nickname "Nosferatu."
