College Basketball GAME OF THE YEAR + Free Evening Play

by Evan Altemus on 02/27/2009 11:32 PM
Selection:  OKLAHOMA STATE -2

Profile:  Oklahoma State is playing their best basketball of the season.  They have won four straight games both straight up and against the spread.  This game is also a big revenge situation for the Cowboys, as they want to avenge a blowout road loss to Texas a few weeks back.  Both teams have exhibited a strong home/road dichotomy as well.  The Longhorns are 0-3 against the spread in their last three road games, including outright losses at Nebraska and at Texas A&M.  This game is an absolute must win for the Cowboys as well if they want to secure a tournament bid.  A loss in this game would basically erase any chance of an at-large bid.  Oklahoma State has a very strong home court advantage, which will allow them to get a win and cover.

2 UNIT SELECTION

Be sure to check out my NCAAB GAME OF THE YEAR this afternoon, as it is my ONLY 5 STAR PLAY of the college basketball season.  My biggest NCAAB games have been point spread monsters this season, including an easy winner with TOTAL OF THE YEAR in the Memphis/Gonzaga game.  Also, check out some other excellent packages available in Saturday's action.

Another Game of the Year WINNER with LSU +4.5.  That game showed just how inconsistent Kentucky really is.  They come flying back in the 2nd half, only to give it right back and allow LSU to get the outright win.  LSU is definitely going to be a one of the lesser talked about Final Four contenders depending on the bracket they draw.  There was a great deal of value with the Tigers today, as the betting public and oddsmakers don't fully respect this team yet.

Thanks GoodFella!  Just a note about my free selections.  All of my free plays are premium selections.  I'll choose to release one premium play for free if I have a bigger card on a given day.  So it's a great way to sample and track my premium quality plays.

Evan, curious. Jumped with you on Thursday and your two 3* were Virginia Tech and Kansas State. Is there a reason why LSU wasn't ranked a 3*? I never read the bottom where you stated 5 unit. I read the upper right in the blackberry.  Congrats on THAT win, though, it's been a rough three days. I'm sure you'll bounce back today.

Yeah, I had labeled LSU labeled as a 3 star play, because the stars only go up to 3, but it was my only 5 unit play of the season.  I think every other 2 star play won yesterday with Notre Dame and Oklahoma State.  The Va Tech and Kansas State endings were upsetting.  I think almost every game I have lost over the past three days has been a bad beat in the last minute.  Make sure you look at tonight's TV TOP PLAY because that game was added after the CBS 4 PACK.
